Nature Based Education & Mindfulness

Guiding students to connect to themselves, their community, and the natural world.

Taking Root programs guide students to connect to themselves, others, and nature through Nature Based Education and Mindfulness activities.

In these sessions we will drop into the body with mindful movement, guided nature walks/hikes, nature actives, guided meditations, somatic breath work exercises, and reflection.

Learning outside, in nature, stimulates the mind allowing students to live in the moment, build resilience, self-confidence, body awareness, reduce stress, and regulate their nervous system. This is vital in our current society where over stimulation and distraction is constant.
