Led by Taking Root and Quiet Mind Wild Heart

 

Teens ages 10-16 will adventure out to Mount Agamenticus. Mount Agamenticus is a 1.7 mile loop trail near Cape Neddick Maine and accessible to the beginner hiker. On a clear day you can see the ocean all the way to the White Mountains in New Hampshire!

 

Activities Include:

  • Mindfulness Meditation at the base

  • Hike with with flora and fauna identification 

  • Summit Yoga Session 

  • Journaling

  • Reflection at the base

 

Hike will be led by Kaitlin Muller-Cusack founder of Taking Root and Katia Lianza founder of Quiet Mind Wild Heart.  

Kaitlin Muller-Cusack, M.Ed., B.S Environmental Science, New Hampshire Experienced Educator License, science educator in the Portsmouth School system, and Trauma-Informed Registered Yoga Teacher. She is WFA, Mental Health CRP, and CPR certified and is an avid hiker and nature lover! 

 

Katie is an 18 year veteran middle and high school English and Advisory teacher. She holds her M.Ed in Secondary English Teacher, certified in mindfulness based stress reduction for teens, has section hiked 250 miles of the Appalachian Trail, and her super power is finding four leaf clovers.

What to bring:

Hiking bag, towel, weather- appropriate clothing (moisture-wicking) layers, rain coat, hiking boots or shoes, water, and a snack.
